Originally part of the vast Lotzgesell holdings, the barn was built by Henry Lotzgesell in the 1930s. Most of the dairy additions were made in the '60s by Lamar Millet, who brought 86 cows here from his Arizona farm in 1962. The Millet family added a milk processing plant to the farm, and sold their milk products throughout the county. In 1972 they opened the Mil-Key Farm Drive-In on the highway near Port Angeles, where they sold milk direct from the farm to the consumer. More new milking facilities were added in 1975, with much fanfare.
