South side of Happy Valley at 7th Avenue

This land was purchased in 1922 by Frank and Mary Roberts McFarland. After Frank's death, Mary and son Elmer continued to live on the property. The McFarland family homesteaded 270 acres in Happy Valley creating one of Sequim's extensive dairy farms. The original McFarland farm's 2,200+ square foot dairy barn is on this property. It is sectioned into three areas, with one section finished off with plumbing and electricity. A cement block milking building sits off to one side.

This is a second newer barn, just west of the house.
