Up until 2003 this was an Ostrich Farm (which explains the image on an ostrich on the front of the barn). It has since been a Bed and Breakfast, with horse boarding facilities. Another family from Seattle purchased it at the end of 2009.
The barn was built in 1937 and used by Luther Jackson as a dairy farm through the 60s, when the Spoelstras bought it for their birds. It is listed on the Historical Barn Registry of the Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation.
