Barn # 269
GONE! Used to be on the east side of Hooker, north of Roupe
Not all the barn structures on the property have vanished, but the largest is gone. I had gotten a few quick-and-blurry shots of this barn early in 2004. A year later I finally had a chance to go back for better pictures but the barn wasn't where I thought it should be. A little more detective work led me to the open space where the barn used to sit. Apparently the fire department decided the bigger barn was not safe, so down it came. The smaller, longer building barely escaped the same fate, and has since had some partial renovation.
