There used to be a large barn here, built by A. A. Ranta in the late 1920s and later owed by his great grandson. It was destroyed by snow in 1996. The farm was a dairy until 1986, then went to beef cattle. Now the site has a caboose and railroad station, historical memorabilia, military exhibits, old farm equipment, gifts and antiques. Friends of the Fields has successfully applied to the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for preservation of this farm.
