
The primary photograph above is the view as seen from Woodcock. This obviously was a barn; not sure if it still is used that way. I have found some references to bee-keeping. County records date the house at 1876, although my photos don't show the house (I think it may be further up the road). Originally the property was part of the A N Taylor family holdings, and it still belongs to his descendants. The first barn burnt down around 1920, and the farm lay vacant for nearly a decade before son Jess (founder of SunLand) moved back and started to rebuild the place. The barn of his time was of standard gabled design with a couple of cupolas, not a monitor like the current one.
