Amid a cluster of newer red metal buildings there hides this old gray barn. As of November, 2007 there was an application pending to annex the property into the City of Sequim, and the 3.94 acres is currently (August, 2008) for sale.
This barn was owned by Henry and Clara Belle Otto Knapman, and stayed in the family until a few years ago. As Knapman Beef, they had grain-fed locker beef for sale. What remains on the site is the milking parlor with milk house. The larger hay barn burned down in late 1950s or early '60s. The silo that used to be there blew over in the mid '50s.
